Traverse through canals, rivers, and lochs, immersing yourself in Scotland’s breathtaking scenery. This hands-on journey offers assistance, coaching, and guidance while allowing you to shape your own personal expedition. An outline of the trip


Setting off from– Fort William Railway Station or if traveling by car you we can meet you at the Neptune Staircase Locks car park, where you can leave your car. A return shuttle can be provided.


Drop off – Inverness Railway Station


Duration– The full expedition is a 5-day event, however, we can also tailor the trip to be shorter if this meets your requirements.


Experience and skills required– There are no requirements to be experienced in canoeing or camping as instruction will be provided so you can develop these skills during the trip. However, that is not to say the trip is purely for beginners as it can be pitched to various levels. You will need a degree of physical fitness and some confidence around water; however, you do not need to be a superhero.


Food– We will provide meals for the expedition, this is likely to be a mixture of fresh food and some preprepared meals. If you have any specific dietary requirements, then please let us know in advance.


Pricing – Full trip £700 Max/ min numbers of people – We need groups to be a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 10.

Bathroom arrangements– There will be access to showers and toilets along the way, however, there are opportunities for some wild camping so there won’t be continuous access.


Route– The full 5-day route is about 100km starting from Fort William and finishing in Inverness. The trip features the Caledonian Canal with its lock system to navigate the gradients, beautiful sea lochs, as well as freshwater lochs, including Loch Ness! There are also 2 optional river runs with grade 2 rapids.
